I had no idea this pairing was popular enough to have five ship names. I mostly just coerce fic out of spandextales and then cry over it.

THINGS TO ADD TO LIST:
- In Amazing Spider-Man v1 #3, Peter was feeling discouraged about superheroing, but then Johnny Storm went to his high school and gave a speech about never giving up, and Peter was like THAT HUMAN TORCH IS SO COOL I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE HIM. In Ultimate Spider-Man #69, Johnny was feeling discouraged about superheroing, but then Peter found him moping, took him superheroing, and gave a speech about sacrifice, and Johnny was like THAT SPIDEY IS SO COOL I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE HIM. So they’re mutually inspiring each other to be superheroes across the universes. (Also, that issue number. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.)
- In Ultimate Spider-Man, Johnny doesn’t just (allegedly) make out with Peter’s female clone; he falls head over heels for her. Like, right away. (And then that plotline was dropped and I cried forever.)
- In Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man or Spider-Man Family, or whatever the hell that series is called, Peter claims to have 796 reasons to hate Johnny and doodles about them in his notebook. Fixated much, Peter?
796 reasons REALLY PETER? HAS CAR. SMELLS LIKE KEROSENE. THESE ARE GOOD REASONS TO PASSIONATELY HATE SOMEBODY (keyword: passionately). I hope reason 796 is JUST TOO HANDSOME.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to depict Father’s speech patterns in writing.
Sometimes I feel like he’s one of those comic book characters that emphasise words in sentences willy-nilly.
But at other times it seems like he’s similar to those tumblr-users who stART SCREAMING IN THE MIDDLE OF A SENTENCE.
These are the things I ponder.

Sounds about right. There’s also a touch of something else there, but it might just be Maurice LaMarche’s distinctive voice that makes it stand out.
